Thank you for your interest in Mercy House Ministries, a ministry of CityRise Local Missions. Mercy House exists to demonstrate God’s love in practical and compassionate ways by providing housing and support for patients traveling to Houston for medical care. Our heart is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are walking through some of life’s most challenging moments.

We recognize that traveling for treatment can be overwhelming—both emotionally and financially. By offering a place to stay for patients and their caregivers who live outside the Houston area, Mercy House helps remove a heavy burden while also surrounding guests with a caring, Christ-centered community.
Mercy House is more than just a place to sleep. Guests are welcomed into homes filled with prayer, encouragement, and fellowship. Each of our houses is a shared-living environment, with patients and caregiver sharing a bedroom with an on-suite private bathroom.

Please note the following:

• Patients must have a caregiver. The caregiver must be able to make decisions about patience care if the situation occurs and care for any patient needs. Mercy House can only accommodate the patient and the caregiver.
• Mercy House is communal living. You will have a private bedroom and bathroom but the kitchen, dining room, and living room are shared spaces.
• No pets allowed.
• No children unless the child is a patient.
• Mercy House does not provide any transportation to or from the hospitals or airports. Occasionally, a volunteer is available to transport.
• We cannot accommodate guests who live or have relatives who live within an hour of the Texas Medical Center or treatment facility.
• Mercy House is not a medical care facility, nor do they supply any medical equipment or support.
