Pathways Create: West U Baptist Fowler Chapel

We are excited about a beautiful new space that is planned with the construction of the Fowler Chapel, which will be on the first-floor east wing of the education space. This wing has accessible restrooms, is connected to the new kitchen, and has its own entry into the Gallery. It will be equipped with the ability to seat and host many people.
In a large campus, the need for an accessible, dedicated quiet space is profound. The Fowler Chapel will serve as a gathering space for senior adults, prayer meetings, small weddings, funerals, and personal moments with God. This space is a way to improve upon our current chapel, honoring the legacy of faithful service within our community. The Fowler Chapel will be a permanent symbol of strength, leadership, faith, and devotion, just like the man for whom it is named, Dr. LeRay Fowler.
Endorsement from Dr. Paul Magyar, West U Baptist Worship & Senior Adults Pastor

For many years, CityRise West U Baptist has been blessed with seasoned saints who faithfully serve the Kingdom through worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and outreach. The proposed design provides a completely renovated space in which current and future senior saints may meet to worship, study God’s Word, and fellowship with easy access to parking, restrooms, the new welcome center, and the beautifully renovated sanctuary. Improved technology will help teachers and class members as they gather to study God’s Word and worship together.

Endorsement from Doris Eby, West U Baptist Member

The Fowler Chapel was donated to our church by Rosemary and LeRay Fowler. When the church needed to relocate the original Chapel, Ronny Barner drove to their home to let them know and, in a sense, to see if it would be okay with them. Ronny told a group of us that when he told the Fowlers of the plans, Dr. Fowler’s immediate reply was “Whatever is best for our church and to help us serve our Savior is fine with us.” I feel the same way about moving the Chapel to a new location in the church. Whatever is best for us to continue serving our Savior will be a blessing to us all.
