Dear Church Family,

We’re keeping a close eye on the weather in Houston this weekend. At this time, we are planning to hold services as scheduled. Simultaneously, we’re preparing an online option and pre-recorded version of the sermon for Sunday just in case conditions change. We will send out more communication this weekend, but for the most up-to-date information, please check the banner at the top of cityrise.org, and please take a moment to check it again on Sunday morning.

But no matter what happens with the weather, we know our God is bigger, and He’s doing big things at CityRise. This weekend marks an exciting and historic season in the life of our church. Before Sunday, I invite you to watch this short video introducing the next chapter for CityRise: Pathways.

Pathways will be a significant milestone in our church’s near-century of gospel impact. Over the next three years, we will seek to align our hearts and our church with what God is calling us to so that we can step faithfully into the next century of lifting our city and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we study David’s life, we’re asking God to shape our hearts and show us our next faithful steps, steps marked by obedience, worship, and generosity, so more people can meet Jesus and grow as disciples.

Pray with us as we begin this series and for the generational impact Pathways will have, on us as a church, on a global scale, and on all of us as individual followers of Christ.
