Because You Give: Ecuador Student Mission Trip

Because you give, 13 high school seniors had the opportunity to serve on mission in Ecuador during spring break, experiencing firsthand what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. What began as a week of service became a powerful reminder of God's love and the life-changing impact that can happen when people come together to share the Gospel.

One of the primary ministries our students led was a two-day "boot ministry" in two villages. More than 500 children participated as team members washed their feet, fitted them with brand-new boots, and shared the hope of Jesus with each child. For many of these children, receiving a new pair of boots was a practical blessing that met a real need. Yet even more important was the opportunity to hear that they are deeply loved by God. Through simple acts of kindness and personal interaction, our students were able to demonstrate Christ's compassion in a tangible way.

The team also visited two additional villages where they distributed food baskets to more than 90 families. Each basket provided much-needed support, but the ministry extended far beyond meeting physical needs. Students took time to pray with families, listen to their stories, encourage them, and share the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. These moments of personal connection created opportunities for meaningful conversations and spiritual encouragement that will continue long after the trip has ended.

This mission experience was especially significant because of our ongoing collaboration with One Heart Global Ministries. Through years of faithful teamwork, God has used this ministry to make a remarkable impact throughout Ecuador. Together, we have witnessed the planting of 52 churches, creating communities where people can worship, grow in their faith, and reach others with the Gospel. Even more inspiring are the countless lives that have been transformed through salvation and discipleship as the Good News continues to spread from village to village.

For our students, the trip was both a chance to serve and an opportunity for spiritual growth. They returned home with a deeper understanding of God's heart for the nations, a greater appreciation for the blessings they often take for granted, and a renewed passion to live out their faith. Many experienced how God can work through ordinary people who are willing to say "yes" to His calling.

None of this would have been possible without your generosity, prayers, and support.
