A Note from Pastor Roger

Good afternoon, Church Family!

Humidity levels are dropping, fall ministry is ready to go, football season is here, and school is back in session! A lot of great things are happening now, but today, we'll also highlight some opportunities coming up.

And coming up first is worship on Sunday. After our Vision & Celebration Sunday a few days ago, I'm eager to hear how the Spirit is continuing to move across our campuses, into our city, and across the world. If you are unable to join us in person, you’re welcome to be with us online during one of our livestreamed services through our CityRise app, on our livestreams page, or at youtube.com/cityriseorg.

Vision & Celebration Sunday Recap

What an amazing Sunday we experienced this past weekend. With nearly 2,000 people joining together in worship (more than 1,500 in person; almost 500 online) and 1,100 people gathering in Community Groups, I had the privilege of giving a vision update for CityRise. We also heard from a number of leaders in our church talk about impact, the church's finances, our missions ministry, group life, and so much more.

It was a joy to share it with you, and I'm excited as we start a "new year" alongside our Heavenly Father.

Did you miss it? You can catch up by watching the update video below.

New Year of Learning (and Fun) for Adults

Kids from elementary age to college might get the main attention this time of year, but we have opportunities for adults to learn and gather together, too! Here are a few things coming up to mark on your calendars. Click the images for more information.
I’ll be in Belize this coming weekend ministering to seven churches and their pastors. I have a men’s gathering, a leadership conference, and preaching responsibilities. Pastor Chuck Oak will help me make sure I get where I need to go at just the right time, but I also need your help. Would you pray that God uses my time there to strengthen the churches of Belize? We have an incredible partner in Pastor Pedro Chan and we want to reach more people with the gospel. Thank you for praying! Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
