A Note from Pastor Roger
Good afternoon, Church Family!
We are hitting the ground running to start the new year, just like many in our city will be doing this coming Sunday in the Chevron Houston Marathon (a bit more on that below). We are also moving steadily toward the start of our next major series, Great: 40 Days of Commission.
As we settle back into our weekly routines at home, school, and at CityRise, allow me to fill you in on some other things you need to know and can even pray for in today's note.
STREET CLOSURES, CHEVRON HOUSTON MARATHON
This Sunday morning, January 14
The Chevron Houston Marathon runs through much of the Houston area and specifically through West University. Streets are closed for most of the morning, which could affect your route to worship no matter which campus you attend. Check out the marathon's official map and street closures page for details.
CROSSPOINT CONSTRUCTION, LATEST UPDATE
Details for next few weeks
Over the next few weeks, we are going to see some disruption at our Crosspoint Church - Bellaire campus. Our back parking lot will undergo renovations, but we will still be able to use it on Sundays. Our foyer floor will be torn up, and the installation of the new floor will begin soon. We are making great progress—thank you for your patience through the renovations.
PRAYERS FOR GROUPS TRAVELING
Kenya mission team and Students Winter Retreat
We have a team in Africa whose tasks will include working at a medical clinic, surveying for water filtration, sampling soil, helping at a school and women's rescue home, and giving away shoes, among other ministry. This weekend, a group of eighty-eight are going to Camp Cho-Yeh for the Student's Winter Retreat. Pray for safe travels for both groups, for hearts to be open to the Spirit's promptings, and that the students will stay warm and safe!

For the new school year and our new location
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year for A Children's Village preschool is coming up! Plus, we're excited to be expanding ACV to Bellaire for a second campus, opening up at Crosspoint later this year. Details can be found on the ACV page or by calling 713-667-5180.
