A Note from Pastor Roger

Dear Church Family,
As I begin my note, I want to simply celebrate an amazing Holy Week last week that cluminated in Easter Sunday. Wow! From our Student Ministry hosting a special viewing of the Passion of the Christ, to our special Maundy Thursday celebration, from our Good Friday service at CityRise Missouri City Español, to two amazing Easter Egg Hunts, everything leading up to Easter Sunday was powerfully packed and so special.
I am sure I left something off, but before we celebrate this past Sunday morning, I want to say a special THANK YOU to the CityRise Church staff and every single volunteer who showed up to serve. We could not have made the impact we did without you! As I stepped into many of these environments throughout the week, I was simply amazed at the level of excellence, engagement, and enthusiasm for the ministry. Again, thank you!
As always, Easter Sunday is so special. 2,888 people joined us in person at one of our nine worship services, while another 338 people joined us online. That means our worship teams served 3,226 people as we celebrated Christ’s resurrection. Our choir at our West U Baptist campus was in place from 7A to noon, leading us in three services. Our Bellaire campus worship team also served in a similar way through their three services. What a great gift our worship teams are across our church family! The media team helped us broadcast our services, ran lights, sound, and words on the screens. Our Missouri City campus was full of life and worship, and pastors Mark and Justo delivered the word of God in English and Spanish. We baptized new believers, and after our 11A West U Baptist service, our Chinese congregation also baptized new believers.

Lastly, we also announced the tally for the Global Missions Offering of over $301,000! At every turn, you are discovering more of Christ, developing in your faith, and deploying out to a lost and dying world that needs the gospel generously extended to it. So, today, I just want to celebrate you! Thank you for being a part of the CityRise family. We'll see you on Sunday!
Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
