A Note from Pastor Roger
Good afternoon, Church Family!
I’m excited to announce our first church-wide joint worship service since 2015. Sunday, May 19 will be Deep & Wide Day, a special day when we look back over the past two years to celebrate God’s movement in our church as we have been deepening our roots to broaden our reach.
We are working out the details now, but what we have been doing over the past twenty-four months is worthy of a celebration. As you know, we are nearing the completion of our Deep & Wide Generosity Initiative. We are twenty-two months into this initiative with less than two months to go.
Now is the time to finish the commitments to our Lord that we made in May of 2022. As you may have heard, we have been paying cash all the way through this project. We have yet to access our debt instrument! Let’s finish this journey, celebrate, and continue to go deep and wide.

As we prepare to look back over the last two years, this past Sunday we began a series with the goal to bring back an important aspect of God's design for family, community, and tradition: the meal table. Restore the Table encourages us as followers of Christ to make sharing a meal with others—be it family, friends, or neighbors—important and intentional as well as fun. There's also a 40-Day Meal Challenge that I hope you are considering, one that will strengthen relationships with loved ones and open doors to spending time with others you don't normally get to. It's a privilege to be a part of this series that's being taught in many other churches in our area.
We're looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, Church Family! If you are unable to attend, or you'd like to share the service with someone farther away, you can join us via the app, on our livestreams page, or at youtube.com/cityriseorg.
