A Note from Pastor Roger

Dear Church Family,
Once a quarter, our staff deploys to serve one of our CityRise Network Partners. This past week, we deployed to Restoration Community Church to work with David and Melissa Hill. What’s so fun in coming alongside David and Melissa is that we have had the chance to partner with them from day one when they planted RCC. In fact, when David and Melissa were launching, they began to hold their first worship gatherings at our Bellaire campus many years ago. It’s been an honor to see them stand for Christ in the Third Ward of our city.

Speaking of serving, once a year, we receive nominations for our Executive Council and our Deacon Body. We will be doing that online beginning today through Sunday, November 17. I invite you to prayerfully consider people in our church who you believe are qualified to serve. You can see the qualifications and submit names on our Nominations page here. These pivotal servants assist the church in so many ways, and I am thankful for each of them and their service through the years.
Our privilege to nominate and vote on leadership extends to our national election this coming Tuesday, November 5. Many people bled and died for our right to exercise our conscience in the voting booth. Let's get to the polls and fulfill this most important duty as a citizen of our country.
We are entering the home stretch of our study in the book of Revelation, and we begin our final mini-series, “All Things New,” this weekend. This will take us through our study of this amazing book. As always, if you have missed or you want to go back and watch a message from previous weeks, you can view them on the app or on our Livestream page.
Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
